Session viewer

The session viewer replays what the agent saw and did during one execution of a test case, turn by turn, and lets you follow a session live while it runs.

Opening a session

  • From a run result: View Session, or Watch Live while it runs. To view an older execution, select it in the result details first.
  • From a Sandbox test case: View live session on a running row, or View Session in Execution History.
  • Copy link in the viewer’s header gives a shareable link that opens the run, the result and the session (run results only).

Concepts

  • A turn is one step of the agent: it looks at the screen, decides what to do, and performs one or more actions such as a click, typing or a scroll.
  • Phases group consecutive turns into named stages, such as “Stake Adjustment and Test Execution”. They come from the session report, which is generated automatically when the session ends.
  • The observer is a separate monitor that watches the agent while it works and warns when it seems stuck or is repeating itself. Its warnings have a severity of Low, Medium, High or Critical. When a session stays stuck, the observer can make the agent wrap up and end the session.

Live mode

  • There is no live video. While a session runs, the viewport shows the screenshot of the latest turn and moves on as new turns complete. The video recording appears once the session has finished.
  • Clicking a turn on the timeline pauses following, so you can look back. Press Space or click play to follow the live session again.

Video and timeline

  • The Action overlay switch (settings icon on the viewport) marks where the agent clicked or tapped (red dot) and scrolled or swiped (blue arrow), with a label describing the action.
  • The timeline shows one marker per turn, the phases (hover for a short description), and markers for Medium, High and Critical observer warnings (hover for the message and the observer’s reasoning).
  • The clock time is shown in UTC and in your local time.

Right panel tabs

TabDescription
LogsTimestamped log messages of the session, in step with the playhead. Developer mode in the filter menu shows more detail. Download logs saves the full log as a file. Everything the agent typed, including passwords, appears here.
ChatAsk questions about the session in plain language. See Chat.
ScratchpadNotes the agent wrote for itself while testing, such as values it recorded, shown up to the current turn.
StatsTurns and token usage, totals and per turn. Show end results switches between the whole session and the figures up to the current position.

Chat

The chat answers from the recorded turns and the screenshots the agent saw, for example “Why did the test fail?” or, while running, “What is the agent doing right now?”.

  • Turn numbers in answers are links to that turn. Answers can include annotated screenshots.
  • Answer style > Developer mode switches from plain-language answers to direct, technical ones.
  • The conversation is cleared when you close the viewer.

Session report

The session report is created automatically when a session finishes and provides the phases on the timeline. If it is missing or failed, use Generate Report (or Report Failed — Retry) in the header; it can take a minute. The button is hidden while the session is live.

The verdict and the agent’s Expected and Actual Behavior are not shown in the viewer; see Results.

Everyone with access to the project can open sessions, use the chat and generate reports, including Viewers.
