Limits and known limitations

This page lists the limits you can run into in Reelspect and the things it does not support today. For what the agent can and cannot do on screen, see Writing test cases.

Sessions and capacity

LimitValue
Turns per session500. If a session reaches the cap, the verdict is written from what was recorded up to that point.
Session duration2 hours. A longer session ends with Error. In a Single Session run, all test cases share one session and one 2-hour limit.
InactivityA session that shows no agent activity for several minutes ends with Error.
Concurrent sessionsLimited by shared capacity. When it is busy, sessions wait in the queue and start automatically. The Resource Monitor in the header shows running and queued work.
Sessions per Sandbox launch1 to 100.
Rounds per run or plan launch1 to 100.
Schedule frequencyAt most every 15 minutes. Times use the time zone of the browser the schedule was created in.
Device Bridge offline or removedSessions for a bridge’s devices wait in the queue until the bridge is back online or registers again, or until you cancel them.

Devices and browsers

  • Desktop tests run in Chromium only. Choosing another browser is not available yet. iOS simulators and devices use Safari; Android devices use Chrome. A desktop browser is not used to emulate a phone. See Devices overview.
  • Location. Desktop browser sessions always connect from France, so games or sites that are blocked or behave differently there may not match what players in other countries see. Simulators connect from the bridge Mac (including its VPN); physical devices use their own connection. See Network and location.
  • A bridge serves one organization at a time.

Not supported

  • Live dealer games. Betting windows close faster than the agent can observe and act, so these games cannot be tested reliably. Slot games and other games you play at your own pace work well.
  • Audio, orientation, animation quality, multi-touch, drag, hover, tabs and browser navigation in desktop tests, and brief on-screen messages. See What the agent cannot do.
  • Live video. The Session viewer shows the agent’s screenshots turn by turn while a session runs; the video recording is available after it ends.

Other limitations

  • Library and Sandbox search matches test case titles only.
  • A change to someone’s organization role can take up to 5 minutes to apply in projects.
  • Bulk actions in the Library and reordering test cases by hand are not available yet.
  • Exporting reports per run or per plan is not available yet. Each result’s Requested Output can be saved as CSV or JSON, and the Session viewer can download a session’s logs.

See the Roadmap for features that are planned.
