Members

People get access to Reelspect in two steps: an organization Admin adds them to the organization, and then they are given a role in one or more projects. For what each role can do, see Roles.

Organization members

The organization’s Settings > Members tab lists everyone in the organization with their role (Admin or Member). Every member can see the list; only Admins can change it.

Adding a person

Email invitations are not available yet. When you add someone, you get a setup link and send it to them yourself.

On the Members tab, select Add Person. Enter the person’s email (they sign in with it), a display name and an organization role (default Member). Optionally tick projects to add them to right away, with a role for each (default Tester).

• New account: the dialog shows a Setup URL. Send it to the person; it is the only way in. The link is valid for 7 days. Until they finish setup, the list shows Pending Setup with the time left, or Expired.
• Existing account: no link is needed. The person is added to the organization and the projects you picked, and reaches them by signing in as usual. Their existing display name is kept.

If a link has expired, choose Regenerate Link in the member’s ⋯ menu; the old link stops working. The person then sets up their account as described in Getting started.

Changing a role or removing a member

Use Change Role or Remove in the member’s ⋯ menu. You cannot change your own role or remove yourself.

Project members

Manage a project’s members on the Members tab of the project’s settings. Project Managers can make changes, including organization Admins who were not given a lower project role (see Roles). Everyone else sees the list only.

• A person must be a member of the organization before they can be added to a project. To bring in someone new, add them to the organization first.
• The default project role is Tester.
• A project always keeps at least one Manager: Reelspect rejects demoting or removing the last one.
• The list shows only people who were added to the project. Organization Admins have the Manager role in every project without appearing in it, and in a public project every organization member can view it.
