Schedules
A schedule launches an existing run automatically at regular times, for example a nightly regression suite. Schedules are on the Schedules tab of the left panel on the Runs page.
How schedules work
- A schedule points to one existing run. At each scheduled time it launches that run with the run’s current settings and test cases, exactly as if you had clicked Launch. Create and set up the run first.
- Each scheduled launch executes the run once (one round). Results are added to the run’s history like any other launch.
- Times use the time zone of the browser in which the schedule was created. A time zone picker is not available yet.
- Launched by in the result details shows Schedule · set up by and the person who set it up. The run’s Trigger row always reads Manual.
- A paused schedule keeps its settings. Deleting a schedule keeps the run and its results.
- Run Now launches the run immediately, without waiting for the next scheduled time.
- Stop all in the Resource Monitor cancels running work but does not pause schedules.
Skipped occurrences
If the run cannot be launched at the scheduled time, that occurrence is skipped and the schedule waits for the next one. Common reasons are that the run is still running from a previous launch, or that the run was deleted. The schedule row then shows Skipped last time: followed by the reason, until the next successful launch.
Frequency
The default is Daily at 09:00. The dialog shows the next three launch times to confirm your choice.
| Frequency | Options |
|---|---|
Every X minutes | Every 15, 30 or 45 minutes. |
Hourly | Every N hours (1 to 12) and At minute (:00, :15, :30 or :45). |
Daily | Hour and Minute (:00, :15, :30 or :45). |
Weekly | Days (one or more of Monday to Sunday), plus Hour and Minute. |
Monthly | Day of month (1 to 28), plus Hour and Minute. |
Creating, editing, pausing, resuming, deleting and using Run Now requires the Tester or Manager role.
